Megan received her Bachelor of Arts (honours) in development studies and Juris Doctor from »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s. Upon graduation from the Faculty of Law, she was awarded the Medal in Law for achieving the second highest academic standing in her class, as well as the Dean’s Key. Megan’s time at »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s was enriched by the extracurricular opportunities available, including those with »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s Health Outreach, the »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s Law Journal, and the »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s Law Moot Court program.
After graduation, Megan worked at a leading Toronto litigation firm and clerked for Justice Rosalie Abella at the Supreme Court of Canada. She then completed the Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford with distinction. Megan is now a doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law, where her research focuses on public law. This fellowship will support the final year of work on her thesis, which develops an account of what is owed as a legal matter to people who find themselves subject to public administrative power.
Megan is also the managing editor of the University of Toronto Law Journal, and an editor of a forthcoming volume of essays which brings together scholars from around the world to discuss issues in the law of public administration.
Megan lives in Toronto but often visits Kingston to see the professors at »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s who continue to support her academic career, and to grab a scoop of ice cream at White Mountain.
