The second annual CEC-REN Symposium was held on June 5, 2025 in Chernoff Hall. Highlights included a keynote speech by Dr. Stephen Brown on “Wastewater surveillance: chemistry meets microbiology meets civil engineering to address public health”; a workshop on Creativity and Invention led by Dr. Philip Jessop; and insightful research presentations and posters by graduate students in Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Studies. The symposium fostered interdisciplinary exchanges, information sharing and collaboration in the growing field of Contaminants of Emerging Concern.
