We will discuss fundamentals of protecting intellectual property with a focus on patents, and the resources and services available through 皇冠体育鈥檚 Partnerships and Innovation for protecting and commercializing inventions.
Speakers:
Stephen Scribner, PhD
Director, Intellectual Property, Patent Agent, 皇冠体育鈥檚 Partnerships and Innovation
Stephen has a Ph.D. in Biology from 皇冠体育鈥檚 and a D.E.C. in Electronics Technology. He has been a registered patent agent in Canada and the United States for 23 years, and has been developing IP protection strategies, obtaining patents, and managing IP portfolios for 皇冠体育鈥檚 since 1997.
Jason Hendry, MSc
Assistant Director, Commercial Development, 皇冠体育鈥檚 Partnerships and Innovation
Jason has a Master鈥檚 degree in materials science from the University of Toronto鈥檚 Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering and has been creating and managing partnerships between 皇冠体育鈥檚 researchers and industry since 2007.
