Calling all photographers, professional and amateur! Let research be your muse and submit your image to the 2017-2018 Art of Research photo contest. Capture a moment under the microscope, in the lab or on your computer. Go out in the community and explore human dimensions and the beauty of nature. Be global … The competition is aimed at providing a creative and accessible method of sharing and celebrating the ground-breaking research being done by current and past »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s community members.

Details

The contest will allow entries into four categories:

• Community Collaborations
• Invisible Discoveries
• Out in the Field
• Art in Action

A prize of $500 will be awarded to the top photo in each of the categories. In addition to prizes for each of the categories above, prizes will be granted for the following:

• Best Description will recognize the most creative description for an image, and
• People’s Choice will be determined by an online vote by members of the »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s community.

All images will also be featured on the »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s research web page and on other »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s materials.

Any current »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s faculty, staff, student or alumni are eligible to enter.

All entries must be received by the contest closing date: January 31, 2018 at 4 pm. All images must be accompanied by an entry form.
