QHS Dean's Action Table on EDI Forum
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Two years ago we launched the Dean’s Action Table on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (DAT-EDI). After two years of consultations (e.g. faculty wide EDIIA survey) literature reviews, conversations, and hard work, the seven working groups have developed transformative goals and recommendations for »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s Health Sciences. Their work and goals will be showcased on October 6th, and you’re invited.
Registration is now open for the Dean's Action Table on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion forum on October 6 (8:00am to 4:00pm).. The forum will be available in a hybrid format: join is virtually or in person at the School of Medicine building (in person space is limited).
The DAT-EDI forum is designed to be collaborative, interactive, accessible, and inclusive. The event will offer a space to learn about the DAT-EDI goals and engage working group on their findings. In addition, Stephanie Nixon is hosting a Keynote Conversation, Transformative change-making vs performative busy-work: How do we know which EDIIA path we're on?, with Jeffrey Ross and Llana James as panelists.
With your participation, I know the DAT-EDI forum will contribute to an ongoing cultural shift in QHS. The DAT-EDI Forum is the launch of the QHS EDIIA Action Plan. Your contributions and feedback will help us fulfill our ongoing commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity and Accessibility.
