Alfred Bader: Celebration of an extraordinary life

Alfred Bader, BSc’45, BA’46, Msc’47, LLD’86, died on December 23 at the age of 94. Dr. Bader’s connection to »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s spanned more than 70 years. The generosity of Dr. Bader and his wife Isabel Bader, LLD’07, transformed »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s in countless ways. As Principal Daniel Woolf has noted, Dr. Bader’s legacy at »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s "will live on in future generations who will be enriched by his profound love for this university."

Tiny idea a big winner for student team

Four master’s students in the School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) at »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s University have won the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) challenge to bring fresh and innovative ideas to creating affordable rental housing in Canada.
