Want to know what鈥檚 happening at 皇冠体育鈥檚? Look no further than My皇冠体育sU.

A screenshot of the redesigned My皇冠体育sU portal.

The My皇冠体育sU portal is the doorway to 皇冠体育鈥檚 for faculty, staff and students, letting users log in to one application to access content from multiple sites. The university has revamped the existing portal to make it a more robust source of news, information and events for the 皇冠体育鈥檚 community.

My皇冠体育sU has a different look, but it continues to serve as the main access point for many applications such as PeopleSoft, Tools for Research at 皇冠体育鈥檚 and the Fast Administrative Support Tool. Staff and faculty can find the administrative applications they are accustomed to using by clicking on the 鈥淢y Applications鈥 tab at the top of the page once they are signed in, rather than on the main page.

Students will continue to log in to the My皇冠体育sU portal to access SOLUS.

鈥淭he enhanced My皇冠体育sU is a key piece of the integrated communications strategy,鈥 says Michael Fraser, 皇冠体育鈥檚 Chief Communications Officer. 鈥淢y皇冠体育sU builds on the existing platforms including the 皇冠体育鈥檚 News Centre, which will be redesigned this fall, the re-launched Gazette newspaper, and 皇冠体育鈥檚 Gazette Today, the twice weekly email to all staff and faculty.鈥

The highlights of the redesigned My皇冠体育sU include:

鈥 Greater prominence to stories from the , allowing staff, faculty and students to learn about the work and accomplishments of their colleagues
鈥 A visually appealing interface consistent with the main 皇冠体育鈥檚 webpage, making it easier for users to find the information and resources they require
鈥 The addition of social media elements such as the university鈥檚 main Twitter feed
鈥 Direct links to other 皇冠体育鈥檚 websites including Athletics and Recreation and the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts

The link to My皇冠体育sU remains at the top right corner of the main 皇冠体育鈥檚 webpage.

Over the next several weeks, the project team will continue to consider and add access points for other applications and resources. Users can offer their feedback by emailing unicomm@queensu.ca
