Loran Scholars also receive personal and professional development opportunities. During the four years of their undergraduate program, Loran Scholars participate in enterprise-related summer employment, a professional development experience (often an international volunteer experience) and an opportunity in a public policy environment. The program also connects the Loran Scholars with a mentor for the duration of their undergraduate studies. The mentors are generally individuals who are influential in communities, government or various areas of disciplines.
