»ΚΉΪΜεΣύ’s University Principal and Vice-Chancellor Daniel Woolf has announced that the school has made a contribution of $100,000 to the City of Kingston to support community safety and policing.

β€œ»ΚΉΪΜεΣύ’s values its relationship with the City of Kingston and all residents and is deeply appreciative of the Kingston Police Force’s efforts to keep our campus and community safe,” says Principal Woolf. β€œIn recognition that additional law enforcement is required at various times during the year, we are pleased to continue our annual commitment to support these efforts financially.”

»ΚΉΪΜεΣύ’s made its first contribution to support community policing in 2013, after consultations with the Kingston Police Force, Police Services Board, city representatives, past and present students, and community members. This donation marks the second year of a three-year commitment.

β€œI am thankful for all of the support Mayor Paterson, city officials, the Kingston Police Force, and our many other community partners provide to »ΚΉΪΜεΣύ’s each year,” says Principal Woolf. β€œTogether with our students, they help us create and maintain a safe and respectful campus environment for all.”

»ΚΉΪΜεΣύ’s yearly contributions to the City of Kingston bolster police outreach, logistics and engagement, and help offset the cost of increased resources that are sometimes required.

β€œ»ΚΉΪΜεΣύ’s University is an important and vibrant part of our community, and we value the contributions made by students, faculty, and staff each year,” says Mayor Bryan Paterson. β€œOn behalf of the City of Kingston, I want to thank Principal Woolf for »ΚΉΪΜεΣύ’s continued support of community policing, and look forward to another safe and enriching school year.”
