I studied math and philosophy as an undergraduate at 皇冠体育鈥檚 and then returned for a master鈥檚 in mathematical biology after traveling and teaching abroad. Alongside my current PhD research (I build game theoretic models to explore how population structure affects the evolution of social behaviors such as cooperation), I help to coordinate MATH 121, which is the large first-year calculus course here at 皇冠体育's. I have been involved with Math Quest since 2014. Over the years, I have designed a wide variety of camp sessions with topics across many branches of mathematics. During these sessions, campers might be asked to find the Fibonacci sequence in a pineapple, program a robot that can draw a perfect star shape, measure the height of a clock tower using only rudimentary objects, or construct a complete graph on 25 vertices with colored ribbon. I've also created a number of popular escape rooms that test campers' problem solving skills in a race against the clock. Who knows what is in store this summer! |

Hi everyone! I'm Yuwei, a second-year PhD student in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at 皇冠体育鈥檚 University. I had an amazing time last year diving into the beauty and excitement of math with all of you at the summer camp. This year, I鈥檓 thrilled to be back and can鈥檛 wait to explore even more math adventures together. Let鈥檚 make it an unforgettable summer鈥攍et鈥檚 go Rabbit Math! 馃惏馃搻鉁 |

I'm thrilled to be returning for my second year with RabbitMath and MathQuest! I studied biology at York University and completed both my Master鈥檚 in biology and Bachelor of Education at 皇冠体育鈥檚. During the school year, I teach high school math and science. Last year, I had a blast designing "math-lympics" for the camp, and I can鈥檛 wait to see what this summer brings! |

I study pure mathematics, specifically an area called Free Probability. I did my Bachelor's degree at the University of Waterloo, and am now here at 皇冠体育's for my Master's and later my PhD. I look forward to convening with fellow math nerds this summer. |

Ezri is a graduate student in the department of Physics, Engineering Physics, and Astronomy at 皇冠体育's. This is their fourth summer as Math Quest's "resident physicist" running activities related to math and science. Ezri works in particle astrophysics doing hardware and simulation work for a dark matter experiment. They love science, dinosaurs, fantasy novels, and fiber arts, feel free to ask them about any of those things! |

I'm currently about to enter my fourth year of the Mathematics and Engineering program here at 皇冠体育's, studying a mix of math and computer engineering. During my time here, I've also been involved in many student engagement and transition initiatives, including summer orientation for incoming students, university orientation week, and working as a campus our guide. I've been a Teaching Assistant for the engineering first-year linear algebra class and privately tutored both linear algebra and calculus, which made me realize how fun it is to teach and talk about math-related concepts -- Math Quest and RabbitMath are the best way to keep the math fun going through the summer! |

Peter is a Mathematics Prof at 皇冠体育鈥檚 University, cross-appointed to Biology and Education. For most of his career he worked building evolutionary models of social behaviour, but his creative efforts are now focused on building a new kind of mathematics curriculum. He is a 3M Fellow, and a Fellow of both the Fields Institute and the Canadian Mathematical Society. He has taught two semesters in high school and done considerable curriculum writing with the Ontario Ministry. |

Hello, my name is Antonio, I am a grad student at 皇冠体育鈥檚 university. My research focuses on special labeled graphs called quiver representations. My hope is to encourage campers to explore the world of algebra and show that even the most dense, seemingly intimidating mathematical disciplines offer a rich experience to the curious. |
Antonio Nigro Instructor |
I completed my Bachelors in Applied Science at 皇冠体育鈥檚 in 2024, and I am currently entering my second year of my master鈥檚 degree in applied mathematics. During my time at 皇冠体育鈥檚, I spent many years working for the campus tours program. This summer, I鈥檓 looking forward to helping deliver all the exciting activities that are planned for RabbitMath and Math Quest! |

I'm Matteo, I just finished an Undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Statistics from 皇冠体育s. I love probability and data science! I'm a avid soccer and basketball player. I've been working with camps since I was 16 and I can't wait for another summer of MathQuest! |

Hi! I'm Anton :) I鈥檓 interested in the surprising connection between prime numbers and probability theory. I love getting people excited about math, especially if they didn鈥檛 think it was for them at first. |

Jack is an incoming first-year Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo. In high school, he was deeply involved in the math community at Kingston Secondary School, as the president of the Math Club, a frequent math tutor, and an avid competitor in math contests. Jack wishes to spread his passion for problem-solving through math education by developing complementary software to help students explore and understand engaging problems. Outside of math, Jack enjoys playing tennis, badminton, and frisbee, as well as exploring the outdoors when hiking, camping, or paddleboarding. |

I'm excited to be joining the summer camp this year! I completed my undergraduate degree at University of British Columbia, where I studied pharmacology with a minor in statistics, and later pursued my Master's in Biostatistics at 皇冠体育. I'm currently working towards my PhD in Biostatistics, focusing on survival analysis. I鈥檝e always enjoyed finding fun ways to make math more approachable, and I鈥檓 looking forward to an engaging and enjoyable summer with all of you! |
