Appointments

We offer registered 皇冠体育鈥檚 students* appointments with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, occupational therapists, mental health therapists, and triage. Find out more about our medical and mental health services.

*Appointments are available to current students. Following graduation, students have a 3-month period to complete care and organize transfer of care to community services. 

How to book appointments 

Students can book appointments in any of the following ways: 

  • Online through the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Connect app 
    • On the app, students can also re-schedule and cancel appointments, get reminders, fill out required forms, and get test result messages. 
  • Call 613-533-2506 
  • Come in-person during business hours

Available appointment types include: 

  • Mental health therapy 
  • Therapy groups 
  • Nursing (e.g. vaccination, bloodwork) 
  • Occupational therapy 
  • Same-day physician for urgent health needs (available up to 24 hours in advance) 
  • Triage assessments

  1. Find 鈥淭ELUS CHR Connect鈥 
    • Visit the app store (Apple or Android) and search 鈥淭ELUS CHR Connect,鈥 or visit the TELUS CHR Connect website
       
  2. Create your account 
    • Use 皇冠体育鈥檚 student email to sign up 
    • If current healthcare provider uses TELUS CHR, students can login with that email and password. 
    • Confirm account via email 
    • Search for and add 鈥皇冠体育鈥檚 University Student Wellness Services鈥 as clinic
       
  3. Complete the initial form
    Use the information listed on health card, including: 
    • First & last name 
    • Date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY) 
    • Sex (as shown on your health card) 
    • Identification: health card number 

What to bring to appointments 

  • Valid original Provincial/Territorial health card (no photocopies) or University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) card 
  • 皇冠体育鈥檚 student card 
  • List of medications (to your first medical appointment) 
  • Any relevant medical history you may have 

Preparing for your appointment 

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to check in 
  • Build in buffer time between visit and other commitments as appointments may run late 
  • Please avoid wearing perfume or body spay; we are a scent-free space 

How to cancel your appointment 

  • Students must cancel at least 24 hours in advance, or will be charged a fee 
    • Call 613-533-2506 to leave a message on the cancellation line (24/7) or speak to reception during business hours.  
  • Cancel and/or reschedule your appointment in the TELUS CHR Connect app: 
    • Rescheduling is available up to 48 hours prior to booked appointments 
    • Cancelling is available up to 24 hours prior to booked appointments.

Fees must be paid at the Student Wellness Centre (Mitchell Hall room 109) within 30 days. If payments are not received, charges will be directly applied to students 皇冠体育's SOLUS account. Owing money for missed appointments does not prohibit students from accessing services.

Physician or Psychiatry Appointments 

  • 10-minute appointment 鈥 $35 
  • 20-minute appointment 鈥 $70 
  • 30-minute appointment 鈥 $105 
  • 40-minute appointment 鈥 $140 
  • 120-minute appointment 鈥 $210 

Nursing or Allied Health Professional Appointments 

Includes Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Therapists and/or Triage 

  • $35 per appointment 

Same-Day Physician Appointments 

  • $35 per appointment

Same-Day Mental Health Therapy Clinic 

Students can come and meet with a mental health therapist to address mental health concerns; no appointment needed. Upon arrival, students will be given an approximate wait time for the next available psychotherapist. Any follow-up care will be determined during the appointment.

Hours 

Monday-Thursday, 1- 4 pm 

Fridays 1-3 pm 

Location: C么t茅 Sharp Student Wellness Centre in Mitchell Hall (1st floor) 

Wellness Coaching 

Students can book a 1-on-1 professional or peer wellness coaching appointment.  

Appointment types include: 

  • Sleep 
  • Physical activity 
  • Nutrition 
  • Mindfulness 
  • Substance use (alcohol, cannabis and/or tobacco) 

皇冠体育鈥檚 Student Accessibility Services (QSAS) 

Students registered with QSAS can book an appointment with their assigned academic advisor through the Ventus Student Portal.
