Regional Advisory Councils (RAC) bring the expertise of the »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s community to the partnership building process.
The Global Engagement Strategic Plan outlines four priority regions for »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý's to implement values-based, regional strategies to increase the number and effectiveness of partnerships — Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, and Southeast Asia — as well as with Indigenous and Black communities worldwide.
The Regional Advisory Councils report to the Vice-Provost, Global Engagement to ensure viable and sustainable areas for investment of time and resources within these regions.
Objectives
(1) Support the »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s community on beginning, building, or extending collaboration in specific regions.
(2) Bring the expertise of »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s community to the creation, deepening and sustenance of strategic, mutually beneficial global partnerships in specific regions.
(3) Advise on region-specific initiatives (both new and continuing initiatives) grounded in the strong connections, networks or activities fostered by members of the »Ê¹ÚÌåÓý’s community.
